D204: ICT in Enterprise

Financial analysis

Develop a spreadsheet which enables you to perform a ‘what-if’ analysis of how much profit the business is likely to make under different circumstances – for example, using different costs or number of customers. Use your spreadsheet to help you decide how much to charge for your products and services, how many customers you need and what the break-even point is.

Show your spreadsheet analysis and your spreadsheet formulae.

Give a summary of what the spreadsheet tells you about likely profits over a period of time, and what the associated risks are for an investor. Remember to justify any assumptions you make.

There is no need to show several scenarios with different costs, charges or sales quantities.
