This page sets out the requirements for one of the three products that must be included in the showcase for The Global Community.
This product must be an on-screen quiz to find out what users have learned about your community from looking at your showcase.
The quiz must include these features:
• a minimum of five questions
• if users select an incorrect answer, they should be given the correct answer before moving on to the next question.
Your quiz should be exciting and fun to do.
There are many approaches to creating a quiz. Here are some points to consider:
• What format are the questions: multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, matching, true/false?
• Is the quiz scored, and if so how?
• When is the user given feedback?
• What feedback is the user given for each response?
• How is the feedback presented?
You should use a storyboard to map out the layout and content of each screen.
You should use a flowchart to show the paths through the quiz.
You should use prototyping to develop your quiz, making use of feedback from test users to improve and refine it. You must test your quiz to ensure that it is fit for purpose. Some of the things you should check are that:
• the content is correct
• the quiz is fun to do
• the answers match the questions
• the correct feedback is given for each possible response
• every link goes where it should with no dead ends
• users can take the quiz without help
• the quiz works in different browsers
• download times are acceptable
• the quiz conforms to the rules of The Global Community
